What we collect
When you request solar quotes, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address (optional)
- Your province
- Your monthly electricity bill (to estimate system size)
- Your system interest (full solar, battery only, etc.)
We do not collect your ID number, physical address, banking details, or any other personal information beyond what's necessary to match you with installers.
How we use your information
Your information is used for exactly one purpose: matching you with up to 3 vetted solar installers in your area. We share your name, phone number, province, and system requirements with those installers so they can prepare a quote.
We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your information with more than 3 installers
- Use your data for marketing unrelated to solar installations
- Store your information longer than necessary to complete the matching process
Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent for us to process your information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator
